Gelatin Capsule Polisher
The disc and spiral track are mounted horizontally. Capsules are fed at the disc center and migrate outward along the spiral track driven by the slowly-rotating (~60 rpm) disc. Soft non-dust polishing cloth on the disc gently wipes the capsule surface as they roll along the track. Because the disc speed is low, there is no frictional heating, so sticky drug powder cannot melt and scratch the capsule shell. An air-separation (pneumatic) device blows away light-weight empty shells and half-filled capsules at the discharge.
