During operation, while the coating pan simultaneously sprays syrup and coating mixtures onto the medicinal cores, an air-blowing system directs hot air into the pan to facilitate drying. Tablets produced through this process feature a smooth, lustrous surface; this not only effectively prevents oxidation, moisture absorption, and the volatilization of active ingredients, but also masks unpleasant medicinal odors and aids in the disintegration and dissolution of the medication.
